In order to keep everything making sense, use this guide to help you understand how to name your character thread. For a character sheet setup, visit the section you want to make a character in, and then go to the subforum for characters. There should be a character sheet as a Sticky there.

What code to use:

A lot of your threads use codes to give an idea of what the thread is about at a glance. Such as [GUIDE], [IMPORTANT], or [NEWS]. We also have [TRP], [FRP], [AR], and [IFRP]. The last four are important for this Guide.

You'll find this repeated in other places, but just for clarification:

[TRP] = Theme RolePlays
[FRP] = Flashback RolePlays
[AR] = Alternate Realities (Roleplay)
[IFRP] = Into the Future RolePlay

When you're naming your character thread, this is the very first thing you want to start out with, based on the section you're putting it in. The second step varies depending on what your character is for.

If your character is going to be a general character you use in that section for all or most roleplays

If that's the case, name your thread using your character name. Example: [TRP] Fujioka Hitomi. You can then use the same basic character in all role plays for the TRP section. You may need to edit him or her slightly and they will be a different "person" in each RP, unless both RPs are stated to be set in the same universe.

Example: Hitomi joins Roleplay A, set in World 1. Hitomi also joined Roleplay B, set in World 2. These are two different Hitomi's and cannot share memories with eachother. On the other hand, if Hitomi also joins Roleplay C, which is set in World 2 as well, she may have memories from Roleplay B and visa versa.

If you decide to make a second character after having already made a character following this example, use the second option below.

If you plan to make a new character for every roleplay you join and give them all unique names

You'll want to name your character thread based on the RP you're joining, so use one or two key words from the RP title. Example: You join the roleplay called Ouran High School, so your character thread may look like this. [TRP] Ouran HS - Natsuki Nana. A GM should set the key words they want to use and it should not be longer than one or two words.
